I´ve finally updated the Route Map page. I realise as i´m sure many of you do that there is a slight display problem with the map. It should apear zoomed in on South America with the route displayed over that. However, it is sometimes showing the whole world and the route does not zoom accordingly.

So, if you see ´the whole world´ when you first look at the Route Map just press the F5 key to refresh the screen and all should then be ok.

I´ll try and fix the problem just as soon as I can.

We´ll it was tough, but I think i´ve fixed the World! So the Route Map should now be working ok. It should be zoomed in on the lower half of South America.

If there are still problems with the display of maps and routes, please let me know.

Yes, I know its been there for a while already, but i've just made some new music available. So... if you look in the column to the right you'll find a "What Am I Listening to" box and a streaming MP3 player. Now you can have some music while you read - all part of the service :-)

I'll try and change the songs at least once a month.

Just to let you know that i've made a change to the way all the photo galleries work.

They will now open up in a new window - this means that when you are on the Travel Journal page, you can start the MP3 player over on the right and THEN click the link to the photo gallery. This way the music will continue to play whilst you view the photos too.

Unfortunately, I can't make the same change to the MAIN Photo Gallery menu at the top of the page as I don't have access to any Flash development tools here (but thats more information than you needed eh!)

Of course, if you want music, you could always use the NEW Photo Galleries section in the sidebar over to the right. I've added all the South America galleries - You can still get ALL galleries through the main menu.

I spent a few hours yesterday making changes to the World Map/Route Map. I've now added all the areas of the world where i've dived. Some of these will take you through to photo galleries if you click them. Although at the moment I only have three diving galleries. I'm hoping to expand that of course :-)

Anyway, if anyone is ever wondering where I am, the Route Map is the best place to look as I tend to be a bit better at keeping that more up to date than the Travel Journal/Blog. Just look for the BIG yellow arrow!

Having discovered that the MP3 player over on the right had disappeared I set out in search of the little runaway. As it turns out, the website from which i'd linked the original code no longer exists and so i´ve had to look for a new alternative.

Now its back and its bigger and better than ever as the new player allows multiple tracks and playlists! So now there are 15 tracks to choose from or just set it playing and enjoy about 40 minutes of music streamed to you over the Internet.

Its all in Spanish, but don´t let that put you off and there are 3 instrumental tracks by Joe Satriani too.
